Where and When?

Semantic Week took place 22-26 June 2009, in Amsterdam. The event was held in the Cultural Centre of the Free University of Amsterdam:
Culture Centre Griffioen
Uilenstede 106
1183 AM Amstelveen
The Ambiance
We didn't want the workshop to be too artificial; the aim was for it to be high-level for business people (with an eye to technology), technical people and researchers to enjoy. To this end, Day 1 comprised overviews of semantic projects and groups, interspersed with keynote addresses. Day 2 offered more in-depth parallel sessions, made up of some of the subjects from Day 1, as well as some new topics.
Conference Objectives
- Update of important focused semantic activities happening in Europe
- Networking of the knowledge of individuals and projects in this field
- Technological insights
- Sharing information about your activity
Material and Stands

Relevant material, such as presentations and software was distibuted to delegates via laser/presentation control/USB sticks. There were also informal stands from some of the projects and from NESSI - the Software and Services European Technology Platform.
